On February 4, 2016, Indonesia Toll Road Authority (Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol - BPJT) held a public discussion on the Traffic Safety in Toll Road. PT Bintaro Serpong Damai (BSD) and PT Bosowa Marga Nusantara (BMN) along with other toll road operators, such as PT Jasa Marga (JM), PT Marga Mandala Sakti (MMS), PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada (CMNP), participated to support the implementation of this discussion as one of the joint efforts to campaign the traffic safety. The discussion was attended by 100 students and the media aims to raise public traffic rules awareness especially when driving on toll road.
Orderly traffic and safe driving becomes important considering Indonesia is ranked fifth in the world in 2014 as the country with the highest rate of traffic accidents. Every hour at least been 12 cases of accident that claimed three lives or an average of 69 lives lost on the road every day.
