Global Compact is a voluntary act that was initiated by the United Nations Organization, as one form of social responsibility in the business in providing solutions to meet the challenges of globalization.
Rajawali Corpora and Nusantara Infrastructure (as business players in the private sectors) in collaboration with partners from social agencies in supporting the realization of an open and sustainable global economy. This is based on two Global Compact’s objectives, i.e. campaign for the 10 principles in business activities around the world; and support for UNO goals.
In the event, Nusantara Infrastructure and other volunteers joined to educate people of Pasir Angin Village, especially children who are members of PAUD (early childhood education program), about how to love the environment, the campaign of clean and healthy living behaviour, and school buildings repair.
These education activities including how to plant trees as a form of love and care for the environment; "Meet the Leaders" program, i.e. a story sharing session about the volunteers’ professions through images modelling in order to be easily understood; and education of various skills of the volunteers, such as photography, singing, dancing, candle crafts making, and science experimental.
This event is expected to inspire and drive the learning spirit of the children (derived from PAUD Al-Istiqomah, Al-Barokah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Muflihin, Nurul Fikri, and Ceria) to pursue their future dreams and goals.
