“A Dedication for the Traffic of Makassar City” event was held in the Tallo II bridge, Makassar. The event was held to inform the community about the Tallo II bridge construction. This event conducted the initial education to build the community’s awareness of the change in the current traffic and the traffic then, the two-way traffic of Tallo II bridge. This event was held by PT Jalan Tol Seksi Empat (JTSE) and Nusantara Infrastructure which fully supported by the government of Makassar City and attended by Mr. Ramdhan Pomanto, the mayor of Makassar.

According to the Kabar Nusantara in the previous edition, the Tallo II bridge construction is in progress by JTSE. The construction aims to unravel the traffic jam that often occur on the direction of the Port / Pettarani to service vice versa due to the road narrows (bottleneck). Currently, JTSE is operating Tallo I bridge which serve a two-way traffic causing congestion in the working hour.

In the future, each of Tallo I and Tallo II bridge will serve a one-way traffic only. Tallo I bridge will accommodate the traffic from airport to port/Pettarani, while the Tallo II bridge will accommodate the traffic from port/Petterani to airport.

The construction with the length of 200 m and 18.4 m for the width has been started in June 2016 and expected to be able to serve homecoming in the Eid.

By the construction of the Tallo II bridge is expected to be more helpful to fulfil the needs of the road for the Makassar city community which is experienced a rapid economic more that 9% reach growth in 2015.
